Letter From the Editor

We had a great turnout for our fall courses.  All the comments about our speakers were great though after listening to Chief Counsel Booth Rand from the insurance commissioner’s office, we were certain that our late payment logs were going to be useless.  On the positive side, we learned of some great resources available through the AR Small Business Development Center at UALR.  Bo Renshaw, PT, reported that he has already used them to help develop a business plan for a new business endeavor.  Amy Denton stated she was going to use their services to help upgrade her website.  All the people who attended the course on reflexology stated they were going to start trying some of this with their patients the following Monday.

13 Arkansas Companies Placed on Inc. 5000 List

Thirteen Arkansas companies have been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States.

Last year marked the debut of the Inc. 5,000, an expanded version of the Inc. 500, which has been published since 1982.  The list is determined by each company’s percentage of revenue growth from 2004 to 2007.

Our friends at Isokinetics came in at number 2362 on the list which was number four among the Arkansas companies listed.  Not to shabby eh?    Congrats to Isokinetics for making the list!  The others on the list included: New Creature in Rogers, CognitiveData in Little Rock, Mundo-Tech in Rogers, Harness Roofing in Harrison, Aspen Transportation in Jonesboro, Kerusso in Berryville, National Truck Staffing in Fort Smith, Tiger Correctional Services in Jonesboro, Actronix Inc. in Flippin, Cadena Contracting in North Little Rock, Hi-Speed in Little Rock, and Omega Administrators in Sherwood.  Send out a congratulations to those in your neighborhoods.
