Rehab Net is currently taking nominations for our upcoming election. Nominations will be accepted up to September 15, 2008 for the positions of president, secretary and member at large. At present our ballot looks like this: President Amy Denton, PT Bo Renshaw, PT Secretary Steve Hornbeck, PT (incumbent) Member at Large Andrew Abraham, PT (incumbent) Amy Denton is our current vice president and owner of Pediatric Plus Therapy Services in Conway, Russellville and soon Little Rock. She is a 1999 graduate of the MSPT program at UCA and has owned Pediatric Plus since 2002. She also owns the Center for Early Learning which is a preschool for special needs children. Amy employs over 40 therapists including physical, occupational, and speech. She is our only all pediatrics clinic but has been an asset to the Board of Directors since joining it three years ago. Bo Renshaw is the owner of Central Arkansas Sports Medicine in North Little Rock which he opened in 2002. Bo is the current ArPTA Public Relations Committee Chair and is very active in the state association. He is a 1998 graduate of the MSPT program at UCA. Bo states he is willing to serve Rehabilitation Network of AR in any capacity he can. Steve Hornbeck is co-owner of Southeast Arkansas Physical Therapy in Pine Bluff with his wife Cathy Hornbeck, PT. He is our current secretary and has served on the board for several years now and is willing to continue in this capacity. Steve graduated in 1997 from the University of Central Arkansas with a BSPT. Steve and Cathy purchased SEAPT in 2002 and have been active members of Rehab Net since that time. Andrew Abraham is the owner of Searcy Physical Therapy and it’s satellite location known as Beebe Physical Therapy. Andrew is our current member at large. Andrew began working at Searcy Physical Therapy as an employee of Steve Joseph, PT. When Steve decided to move to Rogers in 2005, Andrew purchased the clinic from him. 2008 was the first year for Andrew to serve on the Board and he states that he has enjoyed serving and would like to serve another year. Andrew received his MSPT from UCA in 1999. The position of president is really a three year commitment as you serve two years as president and one year as past president. However, the current president, Seth Coulter may tell you it is a much longer term than that as he has served for 10 years as the president of this organization. After serving so long he has decided that it is time to pass the torch to someone else. What he didn’t realize is he still gets to hang out with the Board another year to help in making the change over to a new president. The secretary position is a two year commitment and the member at large serves only one year at a time. The other two board positions are vice president and treasurer. Both these positions are two year commitments as well. If you would like to nominate anyone else for these positions, you may send the nominations by fax (866-548-6003) or by email (rehabnet@alliancecable.net). |
